This new service started once Valencia had been chosen as the venue for the 32nd Americas Cup and, in the years leading up to the competition, we were contracted to transport all types of material to the capital of the Turia, everything necessary for the construction of the new boats for the USA and New Zealand teams. We also shipped spare parts and even transported the boats of the other participating teams: Sails, masts, rigging, roller booms, carbon products, bulbs etc. with dimensions as varied as masts of 35m in length or bulbs of approximately 24 tons.
The transport of such delicate merchandise is carried out by different means of transport: Marine, air freight and/or terrestrial, depending on the characteristics of each merchandise.
In addition it is our responsibility, within this new service, to deal with all customs formalities necessary to transport all these materials and the different boats within Spanish territory. We also ship personal belongings of all the members of the participating teams, not only the boat crew but also the ground crew. The Spanish national team El Desafío Español chose our company as their official freight agents once Valencia had been chosen as venue for the event.
Apart from these international operations and through this same service, we have shipped the national team boats all over the Spanish territory for the different exhibitions in which they have taken part. This close collaboration with the team has made us an active part of their success and has ensured our support in the next edition of the Americas Cup, as well as making us known within the circles of the Nautical Club. Consequently others have used our service for shipping and customs management, including the GP-42 boats in the Queens Cup, and the TP-52 boats in the Med Cup.
Presently, we are responsible for the national and international shipping of the Spanish team Movistar that is competing in the Volvo Ocean Race, such as the transporting within an ANTONOV airplane of the Black Movistar boat from New Zealand to Alicante.
